a CW contesting interface for the popular MacLoggerDX loggging software. My paddle is connected to Winkeyer so in qso I pass throught Winkeyer that cares of manipulating the Flex. Rumlog provides network accesses to FLdigi and WSJT over network interfaces (specifically uses a MacLoggerDX protocol I believe). is a curation of 92 web resources on, MacIcomControl, RUMLog, SCR-Log.

Here's what I did Step 1) in SSDR for Mac I set in CAT Control: Type = Kenwood TS-2000 CAT Port = 5001 Slice = A and marked Enabled checkbox Step 2 in SkookumLogger Window -> External devices -> Radios - Radio 1 I set: Type = TS-2000 TCP TCP Settings IP = your Mac IP or if SSDR & Skookum run on the same Mac IP 127.0.0.1 (loopback address) Port = 5001 (I mean the same port you choose in SSDR for Mac) At this point you have Skookum CAT connected to your Flex and of course if you double click a spot the radio goes to the related QRG The problem I had was about CW keying from Skookum, but I solved putting a Winkeyer so Skookum drives the Winkeyer via Usb and Winkeyer keys the Flex (of course I set the Flex for a straight key). But RUMlog is, for me at least, more functional for the DXer.

That being said, MacLoggerDX is a great choice for casual or even some serious contesters. MACLOGGERDX While the first two entries on this list are dedicated contest loggers, MacLoggerDX is a general purpose logbook.

However, as I began to set things up, I realized that I really, really wanted to work with a score keeping window on screen at all times. RUMped is free of change and is available from RUMsoft’s website here. At first I thought I’d just go ahead and use my regular logging software, MacLoggerDX. Whether used for addresses or QSLs, automated labeling saves a lot of time processing QSL cards. However, RUMped is only set up to handle a few contests not NAQP.

Yesterday I configured and for me SSDR for Mac and SkookumLogger seem to work fine together. MacLogger has more eye-candy, is prettier. One of the basic features of many logging programs is the support for labels. MacLoggerDX 126 4.8 N1MMLogger 83 4.7 Ham Radio Deluxe was originally free and the rights were sold and the company that now owns the rights to HRD went commercial in 2013 and charged for the program.
